Simone and Chiara, August 2008

At the Mangrove we always feel good, so it’s such a pleasure to come back…

Ivan and Antonia, October 2008

Don’t ask how we felt at the Mangrove...We had to stay there only 4 days, and we spent the whole holiday instead!

Cristina and Guido, September 2007

If opening the suitcase, once back home, you’ll find
a child hug, a woman smile,
a man hospitality and people’s dignity
If looking to the photos you’ll recognize the eyes of  friends,
If closing your eyes you’ll hear gleeful songs,
If holding your heart tight you’re feeling a piece missing
It’s because you’ve had the fortune meet the great soul of Zanzibar!

Marina, August 2006

How many children I’ve seen along the road, in the schools, in the local villages chasing barefoot after a ball made of paper. There’s always a boss in the group, who is called Bos’Wangu (my boss), who with sweetness never denies a smile.
Paola Livia and Valeria, October 2007

Dear Marina and Haji, a brief greeting in the typical Milanese style. We’re back, at work again and we’re the same stressed as before. Apart from dancing…salsa will save us! Haji, we’ve noticed just yesterday evening the cd you gave us. You’re a treasure and I’m a clumsy!!
We’re looking forward to coming back.
Bye

Lucio Livia Valeria, October 2007

Hi there Haji and Marina,
I’m Lucio, a boy from Mawimbini, who had the chance to join some excursions and two dinners with you. Waiting for longer mails from me.. I’d like to reassure you…I haven’t forget to send you the photos!
Bye, see you soon!
Lucio

Francys and Piero, September 2007

Jambo…Marina and Haji,
do you remember us, the Italian tourists?
How much we miss Zanzibar! The sunsets, the beaches and the people…I keep on listening to the  JAMBO JAMBO cd, that Paolo gave me  (actually I even don’t know his real name... for me he is Paolino) and looking to the photos…what a melancholy! By the way, how are the boys? Is school already started? We had fun and relaxed ourselves. MawimbiniBeach is still in our heart. Still today, after months I’m listening to the cd and singing… my boyfriend can’t stand me anymore!!

Mira e Steffi,  November 2007

We have been in Africa for months. After our studies we treated ourselves to a long tour from Kenya to Tanzania, the marvellous Zanzibar, Cape Town in South Africa. At the Mangrove we spent a great time, a very nice lodge, the nicest ever seen. We’re advertising you… how many Europeans in Nairobi or in Kenya are dreaming of a holiday in Zanzibar and are searching advices for a good journey without spending too much!
