Where we are

The Mangrove Lodge is situated on the beach in a west-coast village called Chuini, in the surrounding rural area of Zanzibar Town. It is only 15 km north of Stone Town: 30 minutes by car from the old town and 40 minutes from the airport.

It’s the green area of Unguja island, famous for its lush vegetation of the spice gardens and secluded beaches with ancient Arabic sites. Nearby Mangapwani with its slave chambers and cave, Masingini Forests. Off-shore, Prison and Bawe island, ideal for a snorkelling trip.

Hidden in the tropical vegetation, the Mangrove Lodge is a perfect starting point to visit all the popular attractions of Zanzibar: only one hour to Nungwi in the north, 40 minutes to Kiwengwa and 1.5 hour to Paje beach.
